I dunno about his setup at Moon, but Markus uses DVDJs now for some vocal tracks and controls it himself...so he needs a monitor plus a a simple (but professional) video switcher....basically there's a lever on the switcher...Video A + Video B. Video A is his standard DVD looping....when he plays a track that he's gonna use a the DVDJ for, he fades it over to Video B and the DVDJ video passes through tot he screen.
His peeps asked me about DVD authoring a couple months back. Realized why when he played in SF....have even helped them more since find editing software that makes putting all the lyrics in the video and accurately to the beat easier..Sony Vegas, since you can cut video to the beat in it!

Looks like he use an Edirol (aka Roland) V-4. Very common video fader. The fader can be horizontal liket his, some are vertical...I've even see the fader look like a DJ mixer crossfader too, and not a huge knob. If you look at the fader area, it can be easily switched out with a different one...just takes those four screws!
