quote:
Mothership Zeta is scheduled for release in late July for Xbox 360 and PC. Cost will be 800 points or $9.99. It will be available through Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live and through token cards available at retail. Mothership Zeta will be available on PS3 after Point Lookout. Finally, new Fallout 3 products will be available at retail this year.

Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #1 includes The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage on a disc and will be available for Xbox 360 and PC on May 26. The Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #2 includes Broken Steel and Point Lookout on a disc and will be available for Xbox 360 and PC in August. Retail versions of the game add-on packs for PS3 are not possible and the DLC will only be available for download online via PlayStation Network.

A Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition will be available in October. It will include the original game plus all five add-ons for $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3, and $49.99 for PC.

Anyone is getting this edition?

I just bought the main game on Steam.. I can already tell it will take 200+ hours to see everything there is to see..and of course I'll need to be good one time through and a badass the next, which changes the entire gameplay experience and the way characters interact with you. The game is so farking huge I can't imagine the need for any expansions.. I'll probably buy one in a year or two, but the main game is plenty for now.

You actually should download the Broken Steel DLC at least - it raises the level cap as well as changes the 'ending' of the main story to not terminate your play session when you've completed it (rather annoying in the un-patched edition, trust me).

Probably just for collection purposes, but I already have all the DLC out so far... fantastic game, and I'm not normally an American RPG guy. If you're looking to get into the expansions, I highly recommend "Point Lookout", it's the best one yet.

Yeah, Fallout 3 is the bomb. One of the best western RPG's out there. I don't particularly care for having to pay for the DLC though, those greedy cynical/ingenious bastards! Operation: Anchorage was crap. The Pitt was a meh. Broken Steel was definately worth it, and Point Lookout is one of the better downloads. Haven't gotten the Mothership Zeta yet but plan too.

Overall, great game.

You guys might want to wait to finish point lookout, the add on is quite buggy, it just becomes pure crap once you finish the main quest. So do your exploring and finish the side quests first, the finish the main quest last, prepare for game freezing though. Stay away from the pleasure town and the cathedral and the game should run better.

Mothership Zeta was more combat focused, kinda boring, but the weapons such as the drone cannon rule. It's basically like Operation Anchorage, boring quests, but useful equipment and weapons.
