sensitive hearing

I just found out that I may have excellent yet sensitive hearing from my audiologist... some scores in the midrange that reach to the -5/-10db mark...

Has anyone here had a similar issue and had to find workarounds when mixing?

I do feel like when mixing that nothing tends to sound right to my ears. Despite of course continuous practice... sounds isolated by themselves for instance, processed through continual eq and compression cycles, never can get it to sound like its an "annoyance".

i will say the best way round it all is to lay all the parts you made render and whilst doing something else listen to the track.
then go back to it and make any changes it needs render and repeat.

this will give you a different set of ears try it and see
