Sonar 8 / VST Filter / Record Changes?

I'm curious what VST plug-ins people recommend that can record changes to the various parameters of a filter (LF and HF), such as changing cutoff or resonance.

This will be used within Sonar 8 for PC, and performed on audio tracks/samples. Basically, while a track is playing back, I want to change these parameters either by controlling with the mouse or via a MIDI controller. Then, they can be played the same way each time the track is played back before bounce (but if bouncing down is required, then I guess that's ok).

Thanks for the input!

You can do this with almost any filter plugin by using Sonar's automation - just create an envelope for the audio track and assign it to the appropriate parameter of whichever filter plugin you're using. The filter plugins that I use (in Sonar 8) and recommend are:

- Tone2 FilterBank 3
- Fabfilter Volcano 2
- Camel Audio CamelSpace

Thumbs up

Very cool, and makes sense. I've been a hardware user, so am quite new to Sonar (and really have only been using it for tracking purposes at this point--not getting my money's worth yet!). I'm trying to get away from having to re-route audio tracks back out to the hardware I have in order to simplify the mixing process, and think this will really help.

Now, time to decide which one will be best to use, but I like the looks of these so far!

Thanks man! Will appreciate any additional recommendations from people as well.

My only complaint with Volcano 2 is that it doesn't show you a visualization of the audio
