Yeah, he's playing an arena show at Nova...The venue is pretty sick and I heard the production is going to be kind of like his "in concert" dates...

Damn wait so he is playing here and than going to play @ LIV after? Chances are the set could be watered down or sucky since he is playing so much?

This could be a better idea than driving to Orlando or dishing out $130 for LIV yeah?

orlando is prob the best choice IMO. im going to the UCF show, its the only one he is doing that night and HHHN is the next day . LIV, although a SICK venue, tends to be a club where djs play a bit more "commercial". i saw morillo there for july 4th and loved it(lights,music, vibe) but i expected the tunes to be more "mainstream" and i was correct. i dont mind that sort of commercial sound for house but it just dosent work for trance.

i know. well distance wise it is def a better idea to go to nova. but i think he may spin a bit less commcial at ucf. guess we'll have to wait and see

thats exactly how hes going to play in orlando, miami, tampa, ft lauderdale, everywhere. thats his style at the moment. the easiest and simplest way to put it is that he isnt a trance dj anymore. he couldnt care less about what he used to play. the only trance he plays now is his own old stuff that people still want to hear because thats what made him famous.

heres his tracklist from the ibiza show i was at. had a really good time, but i knew what to expect from tiesto. DONT EXPECT TRANCE!

first hour was all slow vocaly stuff. second hour he banged it out pretty hard. the hardest shit tiesto drops these days are dirty dirty electro house tunes. but them shits are nice. then he did an hour of slow track, hard track, slow track, hard track. then he did his tiesto hour (kind of, but not as bad). and then he finished with some nice shit.

overall i had a fucking awesome time. but i didnt see the same tiesto. he likes that new indie rock sound and shit and now hes playing what he wants to play. he was behind the booth the whole night with a big smile on his face really working the crowd, which is something i doubt youll get in any of the florida shows.

just know what to expect and you can have a decent time. if you dont know what to expect, then youll end up here bitching about tiesto like everyone else because theyre too lazy to inform themselves as to what hes actually doing these days. but you already listened to the set, so i think you know. but expect it to be just like that set.

well said!!! i was hoping that the set i listen to was just him playing for a particular group of people that go to that venue. guess not . oh well. now i know what to expect like u said. ill inform the rest of my group not to expect much of the "old Tiesto" and just go for the party atmosphere and some decent tunes.
