Working the races..

I flew up to Medford Oregon to work with my dad on the fire safety crew for the gasser finals at Champion Raceway. Hes been doing it for years, Ive worked their a few times so I was looking forward to this trip. Turns out I knew a bunch of the racers from when I was growing up at Fremont Dragstrip and it was just a blast of a weekend. Talking to the old school drag racers from the 50s/60s is just priceless. It was the perfect mix of redneck/white trash fun that drag racing is all about. Had safe weekend with only 2 cars putting oil on the track but we got that sorted. Some friends had a great weekend and some friends kicked rods. I tried to get photos when I could a bit of time. I have more but here is a start.

Does this ride look like it plowed into and decapitated a motorcyclist to anyone else?

Oh wait, was it set up to look that way?
