Review: Labour of Love @ The Guvernment (09/06/2009)

It was better than I expected and I actually enjoyed a good portion of what I heard from Guetta. Didn't catch a second of AVB. Glenn Morrison was decent (Chris Lake - To The Point!). I really enjoyed Sultan and then Deko-ze's sunrise set later on... music was great and the weather was better!

OK...KH outside entrance under that tent reminded me of a big party in Ibiza. I liked it...

Saw Morrison... I always enjoy his sets...

Joe and Fab were dying due to Guetta being an hour late. They were forced to stretch out boring opening tracks. They did help everyone out with a good track now and then....

The crowd was decent by all access standards...

Only problem I have with ASSHOLES is when they start chanting the next DJ's name while the previous is still playing!!!

Ignorant retards...

Guetta did not impress me... Only a couple of decent tracks...

I didn't get a chance to listen to Armin too much but every two seconds I'd get a text on how much he was destroying the KH...

A decent LOL... not the worst... certainly not the best... But a good time...

Great party
Great beats
Fresh faces
and a ton of old skool

Mark, Joe, Fab , Carlo, Armin and Morrison is all I got to hear and they were all in top form in their respective time slots. I gave Guetta a chance and well...But the 3000+ shouting his name from the top of their lungs in the main room was simply a great experience.

THE M&S MAIN ROOM PERFORMANCE WAS SIMPLY OVER THE TOP.

Not sure how tired they were but they certainly didn't show it to the crowd and kept that room energized to the max.

and ..that's that.

This annoys me as well, pay respects to the DJ spinning, chant for your DJ when he's makin his way up, or when the current set is done. I think it was 2 years ago when people were starting to chant for... Armin? PvD? I can't remember while Blank and Jones were still playing, and a group of about 5 TAs worked real quick at getting the chant to "Blank and Jones" instead of whoever was up next. I was proud of us.

I think it was Blake Jarrell who was opening for Armin the night you were talking about. Yeah it was pretty disrespectful.

One thing I know for CERTAIN is it was a Blank and Jones night. Whoever was up next was starting to have his name chanted during their last song, and a group of TAs started chanting for Blank and Jones, and the crowd joined in with THAT cheer instead.
