after hearing jerry sloan's speech, i did not know that he could have possibly been in that 1977 Evansville plane crash that killed everyone. He was offered the head coaching job, and was at Evansville for 3 days before getting a phone call to be an assistant coach of the Chicago Bulls. So we wouldn't be enshrining Sloan if he didn't accept the Bulls offer.
