I incorporated the feedback that I received from my last track into this one. Please give a listen and let me know what you think.

Thank you!

Hiya mate bit slow for me but some nice ideas. maybe a tighter kick? I like your choppy pad sweeps they are cool. I feel like I want a bit more percussion though.

Hope it helps

Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

Hey there, well this had me from the start with the ambient introduction, beautiful stuff. From there onwards though its like it morphs into a whole different idea -- that hard techno kick comes in with some very psy-like elements which might have worked together except the BPM is way too slow. I found that I really wanted to like this track, its got a nice title, lovely intro but it took some unexpected turns. I see you've got it listed as ambient trance, to me it sounded more like ambient techno which is an odd concept (for me), if you're going to go for the techno side of things I'd bump up the BPM and go all out! Just my opinion though, hopefully some more techno-minded people will chip in their input too

Not too bad! I'd say it does need to be sped up, this could make a good prog stormer at like 130-134 BPM.... maybe make it a tad longer too?

Overall pretty good tho

First - I want to thank everyone for the feedback. I have been working on another track (that I will post shortly) that takes everyones suggestions into account.

In terms of the sound I am going for, I would ideally like to settle on some sort of happy medium between Orbital, OceanLab, and mix of ambient sounds. That said, I am still new to this and trying to "find" my style, if that makes sense.

Those sounds at the beginning are beautiful. My big problem with this track is that I did not like the main riffs or the sound you used to play them. If you took those out you would have a nice base on which to build a nicer and more interesting track, IMO, but maybe it's too late in the game for you to consider that.

This reminds me of Tricky. Very "experimental" sounding. I suspect what you end up with will be much much deeper.

Meriter - do you have a specific example of Tricky that the song reminds you of?

I just uploaded a new song - this is a link to the thread:
http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...0&forumid=74&s=

It differs from the previous tracks I have done in two ways: 1) Its faster (per everyone's suggestions), and 2) I passed on using any loops or samples at all - everything you hear is me working directly with synths. As such, the composition is simpler (musically), but I will get better

Please - let me know what you think (good or bad).
