How many beats have you heard?

Have you ever wondered how many beats you have heard in your life? I worked it out, and it turned out to be a massive number.

For me it was: 2,568,384,000 = 2.5 BILLION BEATS!

To figure it out, take the bpm of the songs (ie: 140), multiply by how many hours a day you listen, multiply by days in a week, multiply by weeks in a year (52), and then multiply by how many years youve been listening to trance.

what about those who listen to gabber happy hardcore 24/7 ?

what about those who listen ONLY to 5 minutes of deep house per day ?

Read This!

Interesting thread
Let's see...
Progressive : 132bpm * 3Hours/Day * 7 * 52 * 2 = 14.990.976
Trance : 140bpm - 2Hours/Day * 7 * 52 * 2 = 10.599.680
--+ over 25.5 Millions!
And what about when I go to clubs or I spin (1/15days) and I stay there 7 hours..? wow that's a lot

Smile Numbers...

hehe, cool thread!

Can I count the years when I used to listen some old house and/or euro-dance? As far as I remember, I listen to these other styles since I was 13 - and I'm 19 now - and since then, I listen it for around 2 hours a day (don't ask me why I'm not deaf yet )
Counting everything:
137 (BPM) x 60 (min) x 2(h), x 7(days) x 52 (weeks) x 6 (years) = 35.904.960 <- That's what most of you guys probably have heard counting the genres of electronic music you used to listen before trance, depending on your ages, obviously.
Just trance:
140 x 60 x 2 x 7 x 52 x 3 = 18.345.600

Wow - I didn't know it would be that much
