Yea,
I've been fizzeling around with this baby for some time now....
Amazing layout, so much userfriendlier than the previous cubase-versions... And it sure kick's logic audio's ass as well...
-First, u got 32vsts to play with at once now (finally ) And u may remove vst's as u go along as well..
-New interesting vst instruments (like the a1) and better effects are addend.
-Total integration with Wavelab4.0.
-Rewiring with Reason and rebirth works all fine (this has been a problem with some earlier cubase versions), even both at the same.
-Much better graphical layout and smart functions making it far easier and faster to work with.
-Havn't tried the Virtual system link yet, but some mates of mine tested it and found it very useable...
-But, even if the v.01 upgrade is released, there are still some bugs around..
The total would be that this is the best that has happend since we saw the release of reasonv1.0. Together with reason and rebirth and the best that is around on the vst side, it is no longer an limit on how far your may go without hardware...
In not throwing away my hardware just yet, but I got a feeling that I will not use them quite as much any more..
Be sure to get a sound-card (no sound-blasters..) that handles low latency, proper audio handling with mulitple dsp's and a fairly fast computer and you're ready to go
