Join us on October 17th, 2009 for a very special installment of the legendary HOME party hosted by Massive Events. Elevation Saturdays at RedNoFive is featuring world renowned DJ Jody Wisternoff along side some of the best DJ talent Chicago has to offer. As always, expect the night to include enhanced sound and lighting and a vibe that elevates the mind, body and soul . . .

Jody Wisternoff's bio is deceptive since he’s achieved so much in such a short amount of time. He’s sold over 100,000 albums and delivered a Top 40 hit with his band Way Out West which for most people would be enough. Yet he continues to make studio albums and remixes countless productions for everyone from the astonishingly cool (James Holden, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Orb, Roni Size) to the ridiculous (Natalie Imbruglia). He has also managed to create music that not only moves every dance floor but has also been used heavily in film and TV (The OC, CSI, Grey's Anatomy).

Jody has toured the world playing at countless famous nightclubs and festivals on several different continents. But let's rewind a little to before all that happened, he won the DMC Mixing championship regional heats at the criminally young age of 15, tore every rave apart in the early 90s as Sub Love with Full Cycle's DJ Die and then formed the band Way Out West. By the young age of twenty he was smashing up the airwaves and the TOTP studio with partner Nick Warren on their big hit "The Gift".

You can also catch Jody every month on Proton Radio, and be on the lookout for a new Way Out West album coming out soon along with several tracks he has produced on his own to support his global DJ schedule – this will be a night not to be missed!

Has anyone been to Rednofive recently?

I haven't and when I looked it up, a few of the reviews I read were talking about dress codes, long waits in line unless you know someone, pretentious crowds, etc, etc. I long ago graduated from my early 20's clubbing days of having the hook-up, getting bottle service, and going to clubs simply for the "scene". I'll be looking to show up at 11:30pm with my girl to drink some beers and enjoy some good music...I'd be willing to give up my sneakers for one night for some nicer shoes if I have to, but would rather avoid some of the hassle and D-baggery associated with the sceney types of clubs. Anyone know if this is going to be a problem?

I don't think you will have too many problems. I don't see them turning away any business these days. If you have to wait in a long line it will be a good night for everyone.

I never heard of anyone having dress code issues at Redno, and all the shows I've been to there had a really laid back crowd. I'm sure the promotion changed since the pretentious crowd days. It should be a great night! : )
