Oakie wuz supposed to come for a clubbing nite back in February. He did not show up for that clubbing night. There is speculation as to the club actually making it up to generate audience and profit BUT, nothing is confirmed. Tix for the show wuz at...YIKES...$80 in advanced and $100 @ door (not too positive but around there). I don't believe a refund or some sort of incentive was provided for ticket holders. =(
In addition, Oakie wuz scheduled to spin at the upcoming Winter Love 2001 (Sat. April 21, 2001) but his name has been removed from the list since. There is still no word on why or which DJ will be replacing him. Scheduled DJs can be found on http://www.teamhardcore.com.
Many partyers are looking forward to attending a Paul Oakenfold party but I guess we must wait a bit longer...hope this has helped! =)
