Spundae was founded in 1993 by Peter and Guiv to expose electronic dance music to San Francisco's club scene. The duo brought the global scene to west coast culture by constantly throwing electronic dance parties like California had never seen before.
Inspiring audiences for over a decade, Spundae shows no sign of slowing down their musical crusade. Guests on their turntables have included international DJs such as: Sasha, John Digweed, Timo Maas, Armin van Buuren, John '00' Fleming, Nick Warren, Cass, Christopher Lawrence, Tiesto, Pete Tong, Jerry Bonham, DJ Dan, Sandra Collins, Sander Kleinenberg, Deepsky, Ferry Corsten, Max Graham, Infusion, Steve Lawler, Dave Seamen, D:Fuse, Doc Martin, Dieselboy, Carl Cox, DJ Irene, Simply Jeff, Donald Glaude, Lee Burridge and many, many more.
The production wing of the company continues doing one-off events, DJ-centric events in San Francisco at various venues, while in Los Angeles they are going back to their weekly roots at Circus starting in March 2005. Spundae will also bring various one-off events to Las Vegas at various venues.
Dedicated to the music Spundae Records was founded in 1997. In an effort to expand internationally, they brought in Torsten Jurk as their director. No stranger to the recording industry, he was the driving force behind the wildly successful MFS label and their main act Paul van Dyk. With offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and with a wide network of international partners, Spundae showcases the sound of tomorrow already now.

Jim Carson is one of Los Angeles & North America's top, high energy, funky electro house DJs. Carson mixes in elements of electro house, techno, tribal, trance, and progressive into live DJ sets. Never one to be defined by one genre, Carson constantly pushes the boundaries of electronic music and is known for being an innovator and trendsetter in the industry. Carson attributes his success by always being true to his emotions and connection with the audience and never pigeonholing himself into one sound or style. Jim is constantly surprising fans and promoters alike with new and exciting sounds that drive crowds wild and whip ravers into a frenzy of energy, love, and joy for one another. Djing since 1997 in the United States, Carson has remained at the forefront of the U.S. house and trance movement, holding weekly residencies and headlining numerous major festivals, raves, and club events which include the infamous Oracle 3 Festival with the Wu-Tang Clan & Little Louie Vega @ NOS Events Center, Spundae LA, Chemistry LA @ Avalon, Puresounds, After Hour Power, Club Deep, Empire Ballroom in Las Vegas, various venues in Chicago and New Orleans, Twilight Afterhours in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, SEX in Calgary, the Winter Music Conference in Miami, and headlining CIRCUS for Love, Music, Dance in Hollywood just this last month. More recently, Jim traveled to San Francisco to represent the Chemistry LA float at the the LovEvolution Festival & Parade.
Carson frequently shares billing with A-List talent like Donald Glaude & European artists like Rank 1, Solarstone, and Matt Darey. As an up and coming producer, Carson has signed tracks to labels like Aurora Music from Washington D.C.; celebrating with 4 parties in Miami this past year @ the Winter Music Conference @ The Catalina Hotel. He frequently collaborates with established DJs and artists like KUCI's and Clear Channel's Arthur Galestian, Icon's David Alexander, Perfecto's David Hopper and newcomer Audiophalanx on remixes and original productions.
