He lost me as soon as he said "nobody has ever discovered this company" in reference to PAiA, a company that has been well known in the synth world forever.

I'm really confused as to where he's getting his info on some of those drum machines. Throughout that entire interview, he was calling well known drum machines "undiscovered". The only one he got right was the wurlitzer, which is mostly unknown and incredibly rare.
His statements about analog signal paths didn't make any sense, either.

What a tool.
"no one uses drums in boxes anymore.... ...and I understand. If I had a synth company I would make plugins, because you don't have to build the box."
3 minutes later into the video:
"Do you use all the equipment that you buy?
...especially with the drum machines. They all work, but most of them are for show. When I get the drum machines, I get them in here and sample individual sounds. Because it makes it a lot easier to use them. And then they just stand out there looking pretty."
I can't stand this guy. He's not a musician, he's a geeky collector that happens to be a musician.

For a collector, he sure is uninformed about what he collects.
I have a strict rule that if I don't use something for a certain amount of time, it gets sold or traded. If it's a drum machine, I'll typically spend a few days sampling it before selling it.
My Andromeda, Prophet VS, and several other things are for sale right now for exactly that reason.
