I appreciate the feedback! I still have most of my eq; decks, headphones, and vinyl. My next step will prolly be a xone 32 or 42 and traktor with my vinyl, as laptop based djing seems to be the future. Not a huge fan of laptop based djing for the simple fact the i strongly agree it takes away from the crowd interaction, but thats a discussion for another time and day.
spawn, keep me up to date!
ps, how it the delay time, if any between traktor and viny?

Hate to sound salesy, but the timecode is twice the resolution of other competitor's timecode. I've put it through it's paces just for the hell of it (as well as abused it a little in regular mixing situations) and it keeps up amazingly. I don't do any scratching but you can take the tempo down all the way and really slow it down and the software does a tremendous job of maintaining key and track composition.
I'm impressed. Obviously not going to have the same "sound" as standard vinyl, but that's another story. I think for the pure fact that the xone 4d's audio interface is compatible with traktor, the strength of the file organization and the four deck simultaneous timecode ability...I can't imagine going back to m-audio Torq or going for SSL.
edit to address your actual question:
there's no audible or noticeable delay between the vinyl and the software. it's right on the money. When I left the scene I wasn't too impressed with where software is at but now it's at my expectations (referring to both Ableton with m4l/bomes and Traktor Scratch Pro). Hope that helps!
