Hey Sander how’s things?
Great, im on a plane over the Gulf of Mexican in the direction of Bogota Colombia. I'm on a 4 week tour of the US and South America right now. I spent Halloween in LA and Vegas dressed up as Andy Warhol. Needless to say, it got a bit messy...

So what escapades have you been getting up to since you last
graced us with your presence?
The residency at Pacha's Friday has been the biggest thing for me thissummer.. and one that i look back at with great pride.. greatguests and amazing times.

Tell us about your ‘This Is’ stable, what have you got in the pipelines at the moment?
The biggest thing I have been working on is my forthcoming artist album. It took me over a year to produce and shows me opening up in a different way..



As I’m sure you are aware the Top 100 DJ list was released recently, you quite famously asked people NOT to vote for you, why was that? Is the list really that pointless now?
I did not want to undermine its relevance, but after reading this yearslist, I'm sure it raised some eyebrows. My biggest problem with it is that you vote for 5 dj's, which means that commercial trance and house dj's are sure to get the biggest rating on the list..say, if you are 19 and you like Armin, you will vote for Armin and you will fill the other 4 spots with dj's from that same scene. That is unfair and biased, which makes this list something that I would rather not be part Of. I also think you can not rank art in a list like this. The facts about record sales, gig size and ticket sales should be enough.

What’s been on you ipod recently?
Fleet Foxes, Alela Diane, Apparat, Oliver Koletzki, that heavenly
remix my friend Sasha did of Kasabian..

What’s the funniest thing you have seen all week?
My friend Johnny put an entire shampoo bottle in the jacuzzi of our suite in the Las Vegas Hardrock hotel, turned on the tap and the bubbles.. forgot about it (!) came back 1 hour later....

If we were to raid your fridge right now, what would we find?
Not much 'cause I'm on a plane....but at home, i have various juices, chocolate milk, beer, milk.. food.....nothing crazy.



What would you say is your worst habit?
I sometimes get absolutely shitfaced...

Have you ever been mistaken for another famous person?
Someone on a plane once thought I was Pierce Brosnan son? very weird..

If you had to choose between invisibility and teleportation as a super power, which would it be?
Teleportation....deffo!
