Best Visual Controller for DJ Preformances?

Hello

Does anyone know what guys like Deadmau5/Sasha/Sander Kleinenberg have been using for controllers as far as visuals are concerned?

I'm looking to integrate a really bad ass medium sized dark/post apocalyptic/industrial ruin themed trippy visual set for my 2010 performances..

I'm sure there's different levels of equipment depending on the setting of their live performance, for example: 1000-2000 capacity venue vs 20k person stadium...

If anyone has any input, please chime in

I am not sure but im pretty certain most of those guys don't do visuals themselves. If they are, they are probably using DVD players or something. I know deadmau5 doesn't use those however.

Best thing i could say is go with the Pioneer's they are pretty good for visuals.

Thanks for the reply rapnal

I guess what I'd be looking for is a controller that could manipulate the fuck out of a pre-done visual show..

Kind of like an EFX1000 to a CDJ, you know?

Does anyone know if anything like this exists??

To google I go..!

I always laugh at people who spell people's names wrong when it's right in front of them.

But back on topic. Serato do visual Dj'ing. Video SL or whatever it's called.

Then you've also got a few pioneer options. The DVJ's are used by some. I saw Sander Kleinenberg use them I think or maybe it was Darren Emerson. Either way it sucked ass IMO. A few words up on the screen etc which meant he was playing a lot of cheese with shite lyrics. I much prefer leaving the in boys to do the visuals leaving you to concentrate on the music.

There are a few other Pioneer rigs that deal with video as well i think. I think there's a picture from Womb (club in Tokyo) that has a plethora of pioneer gear on stage with a few video units, though i don't know what the products are called.

Other than that I'm not so sure.

this thing looks pretty insane, 7g's too

does this replace a traditional mixer as well? i see it says 'audio thru' which i'm sure corresponds with the DVJ's just as a cdj to a djm...

so if that's the case, anyone know how the SVM1000 shapes up with traditional dj mixers like the xone, or djm800 ??

Yes its a DJM800+ Video mixer. Youtube some videos. This is what Sander K uses btw, he lugs it around with him or its on his rider.
