Hello All,

Before I ask - yes I did Google this - but found nothing quickly.

I have ordered a replacement faceplate for my Xone92, some of you may know I recently swapped my DJM800 for the Xone, which is in perfect working order, but could do with a little TLC, and a new faceplate is just the ticket.

I understand that I'll need torq driver to remove the screws, and that most of the workings of the Xone are attached to the underneath of the faceplate - but are thier any guides to carrying out this process, or can anyone talk me through this?

My experience with this kind of thing is reasonable, I frequently dissemble laptops and so forth, so don't anticipate getting out of my depth on this.

I thought of doing this before too. I want to switch the riaa preamps on channels 3 & 4 to a regular line since i dont use vinyl as much.

I think what you need to do is pull all the knobs and faders off first. I tried to pull one of the knobs off before and it feels likes its stuck on there pretty hard so i never tried again...i dont want to hurt my xone lol

Absolutely terrible IMO. Black would have been sexier. This one is way uglier than the old silver/light grey one. Looks like a Denon really…

I took pictures of mine when it was apart, it's going to take you a while I bet

Basically every component underneath and all of the knobs and buttons need to be unscrewed.

Crikey!! What a job, I'll take pictures at every stage as I dismantle then, just so there's a record of what goes where!!

The replacement plate has come directly from A&H in the UK and cost £64.

I'll post back here in the new year once the job is done - for reference. I'm getting the plate for a christmas present from my girlfriend, so will not have the opportunity to replace until then.

Oh, and the black faceplace - I wouldn't touch it, looks well tacky, and I have CDJ1000s, in theory it would be a closer match, but I'll stick with the traditional design thanks.

I've heard A+H mention they align the components like that purposely, and it's how they build those large studio mixing boards. Makes it more modular, easier to repair, and sturdier.

Having all the knobs and buttons actually bolted onto the faceplate makes it much more reliable.

Thats an awful photo taken in a studio with light.
Trust me....see it in a club and it is superb- the markings are all UV...
