Hey guys, I have a couple of questions about this cd. I was wondering what genre of music this is. Obviously it's EDM, but what would the specific genre be? Also, I'd like to know any opinions you might have of it.

I've heard it and I think it's a pretty great album. Maybe a bit unfocused, but definitely versatile. Bicycle is especially good.

I don't know what genre it is (and don't care really), but I can safely say it's a mix of indie, synth pop and dance music.

just wondering why you think it's a little unfocused?

Well it sometimes goes all over the place without a clear concept and it seems like the songs are not really correlated to each other. Basically it sounds like a collection of songs, not like a coherent album.

Memory Tapes' schtick is to make meandering tunes with a weird thing happen at some point in the track that is different from the rest of track. They mess with your perception of time. When you replay the track you're like "oh yeah! i forgot about that part!".

check out bigstereo.net, they love him over there and they post other songs by artists similiar to memory tapes.
