Is this a good deal for a Nord Lead 2X Keyboad?
NORD LEAD 2X Used...
$800
5 Years Old?
If it is, what should I look for? He said it was in a smoke free environment and that there's nothing wrong with it. This would be my first piece of hardware. My first hard synth actually.

lol
No virus for me. That's next. I want at TI, but dropping $2500 on one is kinda steep. Specially since I'm just learning. Maybe down the road.

LoL if anything you should be walking it down to $700...
I actually could have gotten one for $600 a few months back, but instead of saving up for a Virus TI instead, since its covers quite a bit more ground and i'm not in a rush for a new synth, have a few other things I gotta get first. Like some new monitors (Adam A7's or Dynaudio BM5a), another compressor, and a microphone this week.

That's a bit on a high side.... but if you want something more organic and lush, I'm selling my Nord Lead 1 keyboard in mint condition, with PCMCIA expansion slot +2 S-RAM cards for $700 shipped (in US).
It sounds a lot warmer than 2x and is probably best looking of the series. Holla if you or anyone else is interested before I post it on ebay tomorrow.

ALL your gear? what do you own? Roland SH-32, Red Star and a casio?
but $550 is a good deal if you wanna re-sell it. probably can make $100 - $200 on it. I personally hated 2x - DACs are too harsh - it's actually harshest and nastiest of the entire NL line and was just painful on my ears. I dumped it as fast as I bought it.
