Taucher @ Guv Review!

well that was different!

just like swamper said in the other thread: "Expect the unexpected, that's all I have to say."

And that's what we got! LOL!

It was nothing like his famous set at the "Webster Hall", it was all tech-house I guess, can't find the right words for it ATM. But it was still fun.

Mark also played a very decent set:
Solar Stone - Solarcoaster
4 Strings - Into The Night
Three Drives - Carrera 2
Martin Eyer - Deep Sea
Agneli & Nelson - Everyday 2002 (Alex Gold Remix)
Moby - We Are All Made of Stars (Tiesto Dub Mix)
Armin - Sunburn
and a lot more... (can't think right now)

(looks as though Mark stole a crate of vinyl from Armin) ROFL!

Oh and what the hell was that freak show on the stage? at around 1:30am??? What was that all about?

The lasers were cool as always, looks like they finally read the damn manual and threw in a couple more effects.

A fairly big turn out of TA's: Time2Burn, Waxen, Stylez, Firestarter, Hardcore Trance, Infinity High, Endlesswave ........and the others you know who you are!

Sorry everyone that I had to take off so early, but I have to get up in the morning to go to work.

Next for me is: Marco V & WEMF!

P.S. And let's keep this thread Gino & Cracked out Asian free! Yeah we all saw them so what! No need to moan about it, we all know that they are bums!

Taucher...was......well......different (and that's being nice).
He was a little too hard for my liking frankly and I couldn't name ONE tune he played.
The thing was, even if he was a bit 'housey' that would have been ok, but he wasn't even that...
Oliver was great as usual and I was hoping for more when Taucher came on, but alas!
Aw well, at least I got to enjoy my night with the my fellow TAs

On a side note:
You know the guys that carry round that big ass TUNE! sign?
I actually met them, they were nice guys. Neil and Chris(?)
Appearantly their sign cost $120 bucks, they've been carrying the sign around for about 3 years now and they have over 35 signatures on it!
Man, that sign is going to be worth something some day!

They gave me a business card (!) and it turns out TUNE! is a promotion company.

TUNE! Promotions
"Personlized Event Planning & Catering for intimate & large parties.
V.I.P. Guest List, Line By-Pass service available @ GUVERNMENT"

There's always something that comes out of 'nothing' lol

Oh yea...thx for the drinks Tranceamada...

Started with a BANG and ended with a fizzle. Mark definetly stole the show for me. Armin definetly left some records behind last time he was here. I was really happy to hear a good "opener" from him cause i thought it meant Taucher would be doing the same thang!

BUt yes alas it wasn't to be. I'm not saying he was bad cause he definetly had his moments. Someone who likes their beats hard, fast and techy probally would have had a stompin' good time. But UNfortunely not enough hands in the air breakdowns for me. And yeah, could'nt really ID any tracks he played.. hmm guess it aint really my thang.

And those damn gino and crackheads... ... err sorry trancearmanda... ... To be quite honest I don't give a damn. Everyones there to have a good time. Some people just have a different idea of what that actually is. Who are we to judge? Ya like hitting the crack pipe so be it! I'm glad you have a good time.

Partying with TAs is always one of the real highlights. Allz about da good vibez i say. We need our own TUNE! sign damnit! (only i guess it would have to say tranceaddict... hmm tribe does it) And shouts to the new TAs I talked to, Maverick and brothers Kareem and Omar (nrg2nfinit and ??? - hook me up with a light show at WEMF when I'm "in the mood")

Peace out and see ya next time .. where ever that is?

Re: Taucher @ Guv Review!

bleh, thought i'd be the first poster since i came home a lot earlier than usual Fir3start3r that was YOU who left with us?!! ha ha, didn't know that, heh.

i liked Taucher's set. yes it was harder than the uplifting stuff we all have heard, but deeper (read: less cheesy) and still danceable. Stylez told me that Taucher played a Green Martian tune but he forgot the title, i'll leave that to him. went there an hr late, still managed to see you guys (Time2Burn was the first guy i saw -- the bliss of being tallllllll!!), i thought y'all would scatter all around yea i danced my tail off, and when i stopped, Maverick asked if i was alright left at around 4am though.. yea, much too early.. i usually stay until the end of the set. but when i was there, it was all good, even though i couldn't name any of the tunes he played. somebody gotta post the tracklist so i can scour the DC hub for tech-trance ch00ns!!

no way we have too much fun bashing them saw 2 asians who hid themselves underneath the speakers, must have gone claustrophobic? there's another asian in silver+black shirt who was constantly in euphoric mode -- he just spreaded out his limbs, with his head way up, and just stood there for minutes -- really cracked me up

OH MAN that was fun.

LOL. Maybe it was Mark Oliver who is responsible for Armin's LOSS of his recordbag

wOOOOOOO
guv was funnn yesterday. Taucher played a pretty progressive set but towards the end he started hitting it up with some powerful german trance!. It was funny my brother kept on telling him to play science fiction from the platform across teh stage, and he laughed his ass of and shook his head.. Was that track really so bad?! hahah

It was nice to put a few more faces to the names of fellow tranceaddicts. Nice to see you : styles, Endlesswave, Trancearmada, Firestarter, Infinity high, Time2Burn (see you @ wemf!), Maverick And the rest of you all.. if i forgot your names!

OLIVERS set was fucking craaaazy i cant believe he played all those good tracks consecutively. I feel like playing Aquanauts deep blue sea right now! fucking awesome track. not to mention a couple of others he threw down.

CRazy crazy night it was great!

CHeers and see you all @ WEMF or hey if any of you are going to montreal for RANK 1.. Ill be there too!

Sure it was different...
Yesterday wasn't that I expected from Taucher.
so I'm disappointed.
but, I enjoyed anyways.
There were couple of good ones I heard too, which I don't know the title.
After all I liked the flamming torch show very much
Hope to see you guys around next time.
