Magadansky - SlowSideWalk [Progressive House/Trance]

Hi all, long time no see. Upping here one new fresh live mix featuring some very delicious slow house and trance tunes. The BPM here is in the range of 127-129 but still it has a very good level of energy. Its almost an hour long (I edited the end to have more of a finished set feeling). Tracklist looks as it follows:

1. Aes Dana - Manifold (Morning Edit)
2. RPO vs David Weed - Plovdiv
3. Side A - Punta Bagna
4. Atmos - Ride The Flow
5. Jaia - Electric Sunrise (Even 11 Remix)
6. Liquid Soul - Love In Stereo (Jerome Isma-Ae Remix)
7. Solid Shake - Too Deep In Bleep
8. Liquid Soul - Sweet Things (System 7 Remix)
9. Antix - Little Honey (Silicon Sound Remix)
10. Jaia - Orchestra 2.0 (Parrket Banged Mix)
11. Denis Alexander - The Perfect Date

There seems to be a problem with Megaupload from time to time. I will up it to an alternative site.

EDIT: Here it is http://www.sendspace.com/file/uiqi0f

Hey mag, real nice set in some spots, quite a bit of energetic house and trance tunes. There were several tracks that were really bumping, but a few I wasn't so sure about. I didn't like the vocals in Ride the Flow at all, but the elements in that track are great. Everything else was pretty solid, although I preferred the first half more than the last half.

Your mixing, surprisingly, was a bit spotty, there were times where I wasn't exactly sure what you were doing, you would drop the volume of the last track and raise the volume of the incoming track a bit quicker than I usually expect from a house set. Honestly, several of your transitions threw me off quite a bit, but you still played some pretty damn good, groovy, fun house tracks, so don't mark it up as a loss.

Thanks for the music big guy, what is your next installment of music going to be?

Hey zip, thanks for the review quite a fast one!

I dont like the vocals in Ride The Flow too but damn, the atmosphere and all the other elements are just too good. I just cant realize how Atmos decided to throw some shitty vocals on top of that. Still, I played it, I just ignore the vocals after some listens of the track .

My transitions were a bit strange I agree. I remember what I was thinking while playing this and I had some strange ideas like for example (you probably noticed) the transition from Little Honey to Orchestra 2.0. I wanted the instrument to come up as a surprise in the set and, lol, it did quite bombastically! Thanks for appreciating the track selection and big thanks for the review.

My next set will be an ambient one, the last (12th, since the year has 12 months) from the 2009 series. It will be very eclectic, similar to the two previous ones but even deeper.

My thoughts with this one really echo your last progressive psy set. You've picked the best tracks currently available, but what's currently available is pretty bland.

There were a few tracks in there that I liked (40 minute mark), and a few that seemed very out of character for you, such as Ride The Flow. I like the vocoded vocals in that track, but the other male vocals are absolutely awful and really derailed the mix for me.

So, the track selection was a bit patchy, but the other aspects of the mix were excellent as usual. Great mixing and excellent flow. I think these elements were a bit of a saving grace; otherwise I wouldn't have enjoyed much.
