Last night, two of my best friends got hitched. They are now in Mexico, enjoying their honeymoon. They are both Catholic, so they waited till they were married, so Im sure they're having a good time.

They started dating about a year and a half ago (give or take), and he proposed in February. It was a short engagement, but definetly worth it. When you see the two of them together, you know that they were made for eachother.

Yesterday they had their wedding. The weather was amazing (sunny, 30C), and all of our friends were at the reception. Their wedding was fucking awesome, although an open bar certainly helps that too. Although they are not into trance, they knew that me, and some other friends were, so the DJ played some trance (very commercial tunes, but I was drunk so it didnt matter).

Being married has tons of advantages but best of all, it's great.
When my wife and I got married it made all the difference in our relationship; it made it that much stronger.
We really weren't expecting anything different but a piece of paper to make everything 'official'; boy were we wrong. A good kinda wrong.

In a world full of divorce & single parents are accepted as the norm, I'm happy to say I'm not one of those sad statistics.

I'm happy that I got a great, understanding lifetime partner.
She may not totally understand my Trance addiction, but she understands and trusts me enough to know that it's always been about the music for me.

Am I going off on a tangent here? Maybe...but I do believe marriage to be one the greatest responsiblities in ones life and the acceptance of letting someone else into yours, is beautiful.

Yeah ... holy shit ... me and my girlfriend got engaged a couple of months back ... which is a pretty major head fuck for me when I think about it ... I never saw myself as the 'getting married' type, in fact to be honest I've always kind of looked at marriage from the outside as some kind of bogus hang up from the days when normal people were religious and society actually gave a shit about "young folks having sex"

But when you meet a chick that you just know that you're going to spend the rest of your life with, its the most bloody amazing feeling ... after a while getting married just sort of seems like the natural thing to do. Its kind of cool because it removes the doubt that's always there in 'normal' relationships, that maybe she isn't into it as much as you are, and you can sort of both move forward and

Getting married wasn't really on my mind at all but now that I've gone and done it, it totally doesn't freak me out like I thought it would.

Fir3start3r, glad to hear your marriage kicks ass. Coming from a broken family I dont have a lot of faith in relationships going the distance, but would love to find the girl that will change my mind about that.
