Lee Burridge - NYE Review
Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!! I hope everybody had a safe, fun and enjoyable evening. I'm just glad I can say twenty ten now instead of like, two thousand and whatever. feel me? I dunno, I guess im just that lazy, but twenty oh nine didnt work. lol
ANYWAY....
After we left PVD, who was sick, me and a bunch of people headed over to Santos Party house for what ended up being a killer set by Lee Burridge. Granted we got there at 4 and he had already been on for like an hour or 2, but god DAMN he was good. I almost felt like I had more fun at Burridge than I did at van dyk. That techno and tech house just did it for me I guess. The crowd was great. Not overbearing, not anyone trying to be extra cool, just a lot of dirty dancing. I was right up front and the speakers weren't killing my ears either. The sound there was pretty nice I have to say. And Lee is a SUPER friendly guy. He stopped for a sec to chat in the middle of his set, did crazy poses for pictures, it was nice to see a DJ truly interacting with his crowd. Oh ya, and that room behind the DJ booth or whatever?? I feel like I've been in my fair share of crack dens, but that was like, LOL!!!! With the orangy puke green walls. man oh man. reckless. Oh, and big ups to the dude I met that grew up in Syracuse and now lives in Jersey. We goin all the way this year baby!!!
We left Santos around 730sih, by that time I was barely able to move. Lee of course, was still going hard, and the music was getting more and more bonkers. Being sober and partying that late finally caught up with me. Oh yeah, speaking of sober, I drank mad shirley temples on new years. HA!!! Brought me back to when I was 13 at all my friends bar mitzvahs.
so yeah, overall. wonderful wonderful new years.
