Hey guys I don't know if you have heard it or not but it you have please help me.

PvD in his set in Mayday(05-01) at the start makes a slowdown effect but verything sounds so METALIC it's certainly not pitch bending stuff..but what??? or is it the record itself???

The thing takes place at 11:20 until 11:35...if you listen carefully you can hear the slow down???

yes! i was thinking wow that was fucking brilliant too i dunno what the effect is but that song is fucking mad eh Fischerspooner - Emerge (Westbam remix) i think it might just be that song eh dude either that or fucked around with one of the tempo effects isnt there something like that on the djm-600 ?

I think this may have be a Kaoss pad, or one of the effect from the mixer. I think he uses this at least 10 times throughout the mix (it sounds especially good on AVB - sunburn, see 40:40). It may also have been an effect from the mixer (or a Kaoss pad mixer. I never really got a nice look at the DJ setup when I saw the mayday videos...sounds kinda like metallicise/flange.

If anyone can enlighten us on what it was, please do.

reverb on the DJM600 makes a metalic sound

maybe he had his Minidisc toy with him ???

i asked the same trhing a couple weeks back. Im guessig he has a effect machine linked to the output of his mixer.

its not djm-600, i don't know what mixer he used at that particular event, but it sounds like filter effexts from an XONE 62, i could be wrong, but it just seems like the effect is dropping out frequencies starting from the low to the high, so the actual sound will be like the lows cutting out first and through the highs cutting out so u here more low frequencies at the end of the wave.. pretty much like the vcf or whatever filters do on the xone..

can someone post a sample?
