LOL, i have been in hospitality for years, as a manager and supervisor in restaurants and bars.
go for it, there is always plenty of work, reasonable money, good tips depending on where you are,
and like Fledz said you may start of as glassy, or doing stock etc, if your good like he said you progress. otherwise your stuck on glasses and cleaning up.. shit.
Edit: i generally had a mixed ratio of men to woman, some places tho may be biased
