Some of you chaps may already be up to date with this, but been reading an article on the new 3 years in the making Presonus DAW. Esthetically it looks really appealing. Has anyone had the pleasure of using it, as there is a demo available as well. But it looks good.

After 15+ years I've switched from Cubase to S1 as my main DAW.
It's (for now) more basic in it's functionality then Cubase, but it's basics are at least as good as Cubase. Less bloated, it seems more efficient and esp. the easy drag 'n drop work flow enhances my creativity a lot.
You should try the demo.

I haven't tried S1, but I hear a lot of good things about it and the feature set looks good. I've also heard that it's very stable, but has a LOT of minor bugs still to be worked out. For the S1 users, has that been your experience with it?

i agree it feature set looks very appealing. Thats why i was interested in hearing from others about its functionality.
Edit: silly question, but the article i have doesn't specify, is it both PC and Mac friendly yes?

Cryo,
I find S1 quite stable, not more crashes or glitches then Cubase. Yes there are a some minor bugs (as you would expect with v 1.02) but no show stoppers in my opinion. As I said, S1 offers basic functionality in comparison to established DAWs but what it offers in terms of quality I find very competitive.
Another good thing is Presonus is responsive towards it's user base. This dialog seems to contribute to a quick and effective enhancement of S1.

I have been intrigued by this since it was first announced, still not got round to trying the demo though!
What kind of crashes/glitches are currently occurring?
