cubase on pc forgot everything?

hey guys just opened cubase and it had forgotten which asio driver (which is wierd cause i still heard audio from my emu) and it had forgotten all my work area preferences like brightness and colours. It also forgot all my recent projects. Nothin major that can't be fixed but wonder why?

There's a configuration file in My Documents for Cubase 3 but I think they moved it for 5. Maybe that was moved/deleted/corrupted?

Just happends nothing you can do about it, save preferences in case it happends again. Its very rare that it does, atleast to me. But when it does its very annoying.

hmm maybe it did get corrupted I had to turn off pc without shutting down maybe the drive was still spinning on that file or something?
