Its in Sasha - Coma at 40 secs and John Digweed & Nick Muir - Gridlock at 1:03 sort of a stab sound in the latter, but grainy or distorted or something

im thinking its the same sound in both tracks, just the 2nd one is more of a stab with delay whereas the first one is sustained, which got me to thinking thats its a preset on something - then again maybe its not the same sound at all!

I know Charlie May and co. used a virus ti on a lot of the stuff around the time Coma was released, any virus users know this sound???
