It's been an amazing year for this duo, we saw the second part of their artist album "Heaven & Hell" released on a double CD & USB stick. Who can forget their remake of Jean Michel Jarre's classic "Oxygene" and now we see this absolutely breathe taking EP.
They can't seem to put a foot wrong. Sunburn was inspired by their live performance at India's Sunburn festival in Goa. Shortly after landing off the plane they made this single with the Indian's in mind. Solamata takes things dark, very very dark with this haunting Progressive monster!

Not as good as Twister/8th Day, but Sunburn is really nice!

This one will need to grow on me. Sunburn doesn't do it for me at the moment but Solamate is alright, bit proggy.

The second track title is Solomate apparently, although in JOOF rec website they refer to it as Solamate. Not that it makes a big difference.
Not their best release, but a good one none the less. Would have preferred a slightly shorter breakdown in Solomate.

Most of (recent) 00.db tunes are ruined by their breakdown imo. Their last album was a huge disappointment for me.
It's a shame cause every release seems to have great ideas though.

I know what you mean, but I think its good that they are trying to combine epic with dark - nobody else really does it.
That said, my favourite tune they've done in recent times is 'Entropy' which has about 10 seconds of breakdown in the entire track, and it's just brilliant because of that

Pro1 was IMO by far the best track on the album. They should do more like that.
