Love UZURI is making a come back

Last two releases within the last two months.

I.F.M - Back In The Days EP

samples

&

Lerosa - Night Radio EP

samples

Lerosa's is fire IMO. Let's hope the quality doesn't drop if they start to release more often. I'd hate to be disappointed by one of my favorite labels.

Uzuri always has been releasing essential music, and seem to have high standards on who and what they release, doubt that changes if they release more music, it simply would mean more good music to choose from.

that IFM release is nice. the Anton Zap recently is real nice too.

The amount of releases and quality arent exactly mutually exclusive, not at their rate. I dont see how quality will absolutely drop if they release more music. They've been only releasing like 4-5 EPs a year, they could be doing around 8 a year. If they want to build a consistent DJ following that wants to be fed the Uzuri goods every month or two

Quality label, no doubt. they recently also signed Specter - one of the real unsung hereos from Chigago scene imo. Really looking forward what he will put up.

Their soundcloud page is also worth checking, some dope sets there: http://soundcloud.com/uzuri

Is the Specter EP the new release on their myspace player?

By the way did you get that release you talked about exactly six months ago?

maybe maybe ; )

Our deal wasnt a release by Feb though, it was a signed/consideration by wasnt it? Well it might make it out later this year...

If it dont make it out this year, I owe you some boxers?

Actually i'm trying to finish mixing on that, and hopefully get it mastered and into some DJ hands for WMC, hopefully I can pull that off in time. Got a few things on my plate.

well...I have an agreement with a label, well before Feb 10th, and thats for an EP late this year, one of the tracks might very well be the one we are talking about. so...dont hold your breath, you still might have to buy $20 worth ; )

anyhow, lets keep that topic in its own thread, or PM me. Tired of these sidebar convos.

Dj Akhmael's Uzuri EP is super solid.

Move D, Vakula, and Cassy's Uzuri releases are nice too.

Whoever does their A&R is sick with it.
