Noticed Bob Sinclair night on Saturday @ Avaland is on giantclub.com.
Also noticed Avalon's website listing it was from "Avaland, Giant + Liquified"
Notice this only mentioned for Jan 2nd, and not any of the events announced in the future...but it has left be a bit confused in what's going on in LA Clubland.
This a one time thing? Or is some changes coming about...

also noticed the same thing. i'll wait and see what happens next year...
Giant also has nothing announced after this weekend. But this is for all their cities, they might just be pushing everyone to their NYE event right now and not announcing anyhting after it in order to keep people from holding out on them on NYE for something that might happen a few weeks later.
That said, I remember only Joachim was announced for awhile and Bob Sinclair was a latecomer. I wonder if Giant/Liquified wanted him at Vanguard, but Vanguard has something else going on with the venue that night and it's unavailable to Giant/Liquified, so they decided to work with the Avaland group for this one night.
Who knows. Probably nothing in the end.

I thought Liquified had been doing Avalon since they left the Mayan. At least that's what it says on the mailers.
The company/promoters I work for are doing EPIC on New Years Eve at Vanguard.

i don't believe Insomniac was part of the ownership (or at least not the main owner). Jordan Birnbaum was the main owner... and yes Vanguard has been in escrow to be sold since August and the sale is finally closing. The new owner is someone named Bucky (and I also heard of Steve Aoki as being a main investor and possibly Suk Sung who is involved with some of the 'hollywood' types of venues here and in Vegas). and Giant at least for the time being has left Vanguard. And Bob Sinclar is their booking.
