I wonder if all of the anti-China sentiment stems from hatred towards communism or the Chinese people. Either way, it reflects poorly on you.

If it's communism, did you know that it came from Russia/USSR? ...and China has only been using it since... after WWII. The communist party in China came to be to help the Chinese people defend against the Japanese during WWII. The leaders of China adopted the communist ideology from the Russians because they thought it was sound, so they used it to unite the Chinese people and drive out the Japanese invaders. The leaders of China could have used any other political doctrine if it was sound and accessible at the time. It's just a political doctrine. A piece of paper. An idea. A way of governing and living. Animosity over a piece of paper seems unwarranted. However, if you were to direct it at a specific leader for his or her wrong doing, then your feelings would be justified. It just seems arbitrary to argue over politics of another country if you don't live there. And foreigners who do live there should at the very least respect the laws, customs, and culture of the country they're staying in. By the way, there is no true democracy or freedom of speech in America either. If there's true democracy, Bush wouldn't have been able to abuse his power. If there's true freedom of speech, you would be able to say anything you want without consequences. What we have here in America is the privilege to speak, not the right. Try to say "bomb" in an airport without any repercussions. I know that's a bad example but hopefully you get the idea. [[ LINK REMOVED ]]


Ask yourself, would you still hate China if the government is not controlled by the communist party? Did you know that there are other parties in China? Are you hating because the Republican party of America told you to, like a knee-jerk reaction for all things red, just not red states / Republican states? Have you noticed how China has changed: opened its doors to foreigners, capitalistic market, private companies, disparity between wealthy and poor people, no equal salary, less strict or communal and more freedom, better living standards, advanced technology, environmentally more conscious, more progress in every field than before? That, at the very least, shows how a party, by name stands for equality and community ownership, can change because people change. That makes the meaning of a political doctrine less significant than it is cracked up to be. If the South had won the American Civil War, then you and I would be living in a farmland, since Jefferson, the leader of the South, envisioned a farming America, just like how China after WWII was primarily focused on farming.


If all of this anti-China sentiment stems from hatred towards the Chinese people, then why hate people who you don't know or are different from you? I'm sure you're just as different in other's eyes. You're only hindering progress if you can't get along with others. Sooner or later, you'll be the only one left at the train station so to speak. Think about it.




So why the hate?
