was one of those games i put down one day and never picked back up. enjoyed it while i played it, but the overall story didnt excite me enough. will keep an eye on this though.

I really hated the combat so I didn't even bother finishing the demo. Praise for it is huge though so may have to play it one day.

I didn't like the combat either, thankfully I got past that and played the whole game, its worth it. Good news is the combat will be completely different in the Witcher 2

I could tell it was an amazing game and I wanted so bad to get through at least Chapter 2, but couldn't bring myself to it. Really looking forward to the sequel though - it'll likely impel me to get through the 1st one before its release, so at least I have my work cut out for me.

Looks amazing. The first game was nearly in a class of its own. I really hope they don't bother with the console versions ... the interface of the first game was excellent, and tailored to a PC. Dumbing it down for consoles would be a shame.
