Because it's a banner of the KKE, which is Greece's communist party.

Its not. Whats on that banner is the Hammer and Sickle, a symbol associated with communism which is why it was incorporated (along with the red star) on the soviet flag (the russian flag looks nothing like the old soviet one) as well as many other communist states.
