I wanna put a .wav sample in ableton sequencer and "Draw" notes like using FL\Reason\Cubase sequencer.
Its possible?
How?

do you mean you have a sample that you want to play in a sampler?

put a simpler on a midi track, drop the sample into simpler.

You can use Simpler, Impulse oder Drum Rack for that purpose.

not if hes trying to sequence different pitches (easily). impulse & drum rack would require a lot of extra steps for that

thats right. his question wasnt precise enough, so i mentioned all the possibilities i am aware of.

Well, I want to put a .wav sample and "draw" a melody with it. (its called notes?)

The melody should be mixed on a track I already have on Audio1 channel.

The question is how to get a sequencer to put the .wav sample into it. (step by step if possible, i tried the manual and didnt find the answer)

+ Add a simpler to a midi track.
+ Drag your .wav into simpler.
+ Draw midi notes in the midi clip for the simpler.
+ Hit play.

You can't draw notes on an audio track. All it does is play audio. That's where the midi instrument Simpler comes in to play.

You sound pretty noob, I'd suggest hitting up youtube for some ableton basics.

I've added Simpler and put the .wav into it.
But now, how do I see the midi clip window?

highlight some bar's in the arrangement window (on that midi track) and hit ctrl + shift + m (or cmd on mac)

select Chanel select new midi clip add the wav to the midi Chanel ie the sample box at the bottom double click on the midi file in the Chanel like you would a sample file it will go straight to the piano roll waiting for you to draw in shit
