Faithless - The Dance

Since I heard Armin's and Eric's remix of Not Going Home I wanted to hear what this album is all about. Never mind that the actual music sucks donkey balls and since this is a production forum ---> wtf is this? Who mixed this? This album sound horrible. I am 100% sure any regular from this forum could make a better mix than this shit.

Seriously, this isn't even funny. We often go on about ME's who squash the living shit out of a record, but never go after the producers that make crap like this.
This album sound (to me) so amateurish I can't imagine how they could release this. The levels are all screwed up, some fx are so loud my ears hurt, there's some weird phasing going on at some places, you can barely make out the vocals at some parts, etc... and the list goes on. And there is hardly any stereo imagery apart from a few leads (which sound out of phase btw and pads). Also the sounds used sound likey are from the 70s. Same old boring moog basses, 303 acid leads etc...

The last 2 albums I got were from Infected Mushroom and BT. Both of which I think are insanely good produced. So I was expecting something similar Faithless...

Anyway, listen to these two songs and tell me what you think. btw, the louder you play this the more the shit in the production stands out. I was really banging Not Going Home when all of a sudden some effects came through that started hurting my ears.

edit: just wanted to add that if someone posted their tracks sounding like this and wanted feedback about the mix, I imagine everyone would shit on the poor bastard. Seriously, people on this forum can make better mixes than these 'professionals'.

Sounds like it was made for 6 years ago...Hopefully it will spawn some pretty cool remixes though.

I havent heard it yet but I want to. Only heard the single you mentioned. I heard an interview they did and they said they wanted to capture what they done a few years back, so to say it sounded like it was made 6 years ago could be why.

That said its not good to hear people dont like it. What are other peoples views?
