| quote: | They’re calling him unfair and anti-British, they feel he’s blaming Britain for the problems with BP. And, the once big supporters of Obama are getting a little tired of him.
Forget the hundreds of thousands of gallons of oil spewing out into the Gulf and onto our shores, forget the massive underestimates of the damage by BP execs, British pensioners are focusing their anger on Obama and his anti-British attacks over the spill.
According to several British news outlets, Brits are not angry with BP, they’re mad at Obama, saying it’s his anger towards BP that’s causing the big sell off of stocks. (Boy, I'd love to know who does BP’s PR over there…)
The Daily Mail reads: “Obama was "ever more rabid", sneering, and his attacks were "rank hypocrisy".
The Daily Express, "Obama is killing all our pensions," said its front-page. "His rants against BP are a disgrace.”
And the Telegraph, "Mr Obama's aggressively jingoistic rhetoric might have been designed to shore up his own domestic position... but it is now sabotaging the fortunes of what was until recently Britain's biggest company."
As another reporter from the Telegraph puts it, "Yes indeed, the romance is over. The British media have decided that it was all a cruel deception: Obama is just one more ranting populist president who will do anything to divert attention from his own failure to get a grip."
Ouch.
Our relationship with Britain has been reportedly changing, first England ends our "special relationship", then we send back Churchill’s bust, and now this.
If we were Facebook friends, we’d be changing our relationship status with England to “it’s complicated.”

One of your biggest companies fucks up our coasts and all you can do is point the finger at Obama? That's laughable at best.
