Anyone else notice themselves continually too busy adding new trance tunes to collection....and having hardly any time to listen to all of them at the pace of addition. I always do =/...when will this madness stop? Maybe when I run out of space soon...I can sit back and enjoy the tunes more than I have so far. I mean I do listen to them when I first download em, and if the tune is really good a couple more times after that...but I havent worn too many out...

It happens to me sometime too. But I usually get around to listening to all the new stuff when I have to rename the file or edit the ID3 tag. That's the thing that's nice about this genre...they're always enough new stuff to keep you coming back for more.

I had about 500 mp3s a month or so ago, flushed 'em out and started redownloading. It's an interesting kind of system though. I find the songs I really like and keep/reget them and also free up space for new favorites. When I have a lot of time, I just load up my entire mp3 directory and listen through. Whatever I don't like I ultimately get rid of. The others stick around until I either realize I love them or hate them.

I am totally like that. I've been continuously downloading other people's recommended tunes for the past 5 or so months and hardly listening to the stuff I've actually kept. Once in a blue moon, I'd go through them quickly cuz I have no idea what they sound like, having listened to them once before deciding whether to keep it or not. And many times I'm pleasantly surprised, and find myself thinking, "holy crap this is an awesome tune! how the heck did i just stash it away and forget about it??"

I have a whole list of songs that I want to get. Hopefully I'll finish going through them quickly and finally sit back and enjoy the stuff I have.

LOL!
I hear ya on that subject!
I usually get anything and everything that comes in front of me and sparks attention. Takes time for me to listen to all the stuff cause by the time I have one thing downloaded i'm already starting on something else

However, once I find something I like, first thing I do is put that mp3 in its special folder where I then go look for it and snag up the vinyl [THE MISSION]

Cheers,

haha, nice post, i was just thinking this. i'm in the process of downloading tons of new and random mp3s to burn on cd for my gf (how lucky i am to have a gf that loves trance too. ) and i'm blown away by the sheer amount that is out there. i haven't been in a record store in a month, and it's AMAZING the stuff that just keeps churning out. but i agree, sifting through the mp3s is wut i love about trance, there's sooooo many new and upcoming artists as well as old and undiscovered ones that it keeps you on your toes, searching for those specials songs that send shivers down your spine, make u wanna pick up ur feet and bounce to the beat...ykno wut i'm talking about.

then comes the matter of finding it on vinyl so u can add to ur set...hehe.
