And why?

Just wondering how many people there are here who are not on any of the big social networking sites, and what your motivations are for not being on them when, presumably, you have probably had people ask whether you are on them or even ask you to join.

Answer it yourself! Either you deleted everyone I know or you're not on Facebook any more yourself

I deleted my accounts about a year ago. I wanted to see if anyone else out there had quit the social networking thing or never joined in the first place.

I am all three.

I don't have a myspace, facebook, linkedin or any profiles on any social networking site. Never have. I just never bothered and I don't think it hindered me one bit.

I keep in touch with the people I want to know and the rest I'm just not in contact with.

I just have email addresses that I've had for 12 years, and the same mobile phone number for 15 years. That's it.

Me. I have real friends.

If someone cant be bothered to pick up a phone, drop round or shoot me an email, then it was never meant to be.

I have enjoyed having small communications with people on Facebook that I otherwise would probably not call. I still keep in touch with my regular friends by phone / face to face. I think some (not all) people who are not on Facebook form their impression of it based on teens who overdo it. When I encounter this attitude I tell people that it's like thinking everyone who uses alcohol is an alcoholic, when really most people who use it do so responsibly and just enjoy it occasionally.

My real friends no where to find me, I dont need it.
