will be turning 27 a few weeks from now and man i feel old
some regrets and a whole lot of apprehension, so many of the things i was obsessed with when i was younger, or thought that i could keep doing (like going to bars hoping to get laid ), i now see as pointless. but i haven't found anything yet to take their place, which is what worries me so much i want to find hobbies, activities, things to do that will take up all of my time, and somehow make me happy and feel like i'm doing something meaningful, but why is it so hard?
TAs in/around that age bracket, are you or did you go through anything similar, and how did you deal with it (or how are you dealing with it?)

felt the same way im 28 now. pretty happy the way my life is going. cant find a girl i like longer then 1 month..but itll come.
anyways my advice is try new shit, figure out what you like and stick with it

I'm 24, not quite there yet. I spent too much time on my hobbies. At least now its looking like it will pay off well though, so I am not too worried about having wasted my time.
Also I have a lot of hobbies too, so I am not too worried there. You just have to find something that sparks an interest and investigate further. Course having money helps do that too.

well i havent been anywhere near as lucky as you in the dating department, so one of the other things i worry abt is finding myself at 50 all alone, lol.

ya i have the same worries too. its natural. but what im also worried about is settling with a girl i dont share anything with. A girl i just settle for. and at the age of 50 being very disatisfied with the route i took in life. it sucks because it seems the girls i dont care for love me to death and the girls im like wow this girl is amazing dont feel the same. Or maybe i just treat the girls i find amaqzing differently then i do the girls i dont care about. maybe i should stop caring about the chicks im head over heels for

The moment you settle for anything is the moment you get less than what you settled for.
Start by defining what you actually value/find meaningful. I should hope that, at 27, you know what that is.
