"And speaking of Trance is dead, I wonder which part of the world your talking abou??. If your talking about your little circle of HHC, then of course Trance is dead. It always was for you."
actually im talking about most of america
and my little circle of hardcore might account for 50% of the SF and LA rave scene.....i guess its very little afterall.....u know its pretty obvious why mars is now spinning in hawaii so much when before he was such a big trance star in cali ......not to mention that the 10,000 people massives were from the very beginning and still are the infamous hardcore raves like helter skelter, future dance, dreamscape, uk dance, thunderdome, etc....not to mention its pretty obvious trance is fading away in europe and being replaced by the harder forms such as hard NRG, uk hardhouse, drum and bass, and trancecore labels like raverbaby and jellybaby, and most of the huge trance clubs like Cream are on the verge of being shut down while Future dance held a few months ago, was one of the biggest and most successful massives in the UK in years and the entire lineup was hardcore..............nuff
on the real tho i do like trance.......trance can be really good at times......a lot of it is just pure class goosbumps, and it can be hella hard and rugged and danceable too......D:fuse was a good example of what good trance is.......but since ur sitting on a willy wonka factory of good trance tunes, i'd love to hear what u got cuz music is goooOOod!
point being.....guys like big daddy dave KILL trance (just how anabolic frolic KILLS happy hardcore)....they give it a really bad name.....these kinda trance djs have been killing it up and down the coasts all over the place (and he still has peak slots at virus) which is why people (minus the mass amounts of clubbers who still dig trance) got really tired of it back in 2000......back when alice deejay was being booked as the headliner at "massives" in hawaii and all over for that matter.....as kphoenixx would say......bah
What do you think about what he said? Any input is greatly appriciated!
Thanks.

i can only speak for NY but in NY progressive house rules all...i used to love progressive house (still like it)too but it's all you hear round here (for the most part) n it's really annoying me. we have no trance nights left, no good hard house left..nothing.. it's really sad but since we lost twilo (with it residences from PVD, Carl cox, S&D,etc.), tunnel, limelight, etc...we don't have much left period.. i don't know about the rest of the US but that's how it is in NYC. i hear we're getting a Crowbar here though so that should (i hope) help things out.
