After buying Caribou's "Swim" on vinyl, I came to agree with some of the things people (namely, SYSTEM-J) were saying about the harsh production quality of the album. Really, the whole album just hurts my ears to listen to, which is rather disappointing.
Not the case with this entirely reworked version of the album. I've only skimmed through, but so far I like what I hear.

I agree. Swim was rather harsh/boring/annoying... couldn't figure out what all the hype was about. He had good ideas, but tries too hard to be abstract until it just doesn't sound good. This remix album could be something good though. Thanks.

My thoughts exactly. I bought it kinda on a whim, and I saw that it was different and he was trying to do something with it.... but it just didn't reach out and grab me. Too much "try-hard" and not enough "good".
So far I'm finding this much more enjoyable to listen to.
