Line it up with one of those password journals that do the same thing and blow three times while making he hardest wish just ever and it should cancel out the frequency in system32.
If not, delete system32 instead.

when i close it it automatically logs me off and goes back to the screen where you as the owner are supposed to enter your password to log back in...

-I believe if you click your battery icon in the system tray you can click on 'power settings' and from there you select 'change what closing the lid does'
Yeah, just right click the battery in the system tray, choose 'power options' and then there should be a tab on the side for 'password on wake-up' or something similar.
