Also what is the closest airport to where I could just take a cab straight to the club(anyone know how much that would cost?), are there things to keep me occupied in the area while I'm waiting on going to the club, bars, shops etc.?

Sorry I haven't been to NYC in about 10 yrs

closest air port is newark intl in jersey.... its gonna cost you prolly 30 bucks or more...

you can take a train directly from EWR to NY Penn Station for about $8 roundtrip (possibly less). i would imagine you can get good public tranportation from LGA, EWR, or JFK. JFK is the farthest from manhattan.

and then subway or cab to tribeca.
there isn't much right there but there is quite a bit a few blocks away like on spring st

Newark international is closer.. much closer..
about 20 minutes ride on turnpike..
