How do famous DJs decide which tunes to remix?
Gidday all
It's just something I was wondering at work today ... if you're an in demand remixer, do you just remix whatever artist pays you the most money for your services, or do you go out and offer to some artist to remix a song of theirs you particularly like, or what?
I'm wondering particularly in terms of Tiesto ... the guy has copped some criticism for some mediocre remixes this year, but to be fair to him some of the material he's had to work with is utterly irredeemable SHITE (eg Moby, St Etienne etc). Has he remixed this stuff because he actually likes it or is it a straight up commercial decision?
