Quick Ableton Question

Is there a fast/easy way to save/update the .als file for all the clips in an open set? (As opposed to clicking on every individual clip, clicking save, & moving on to the next)

In the File menu there is the "Collect all and Save" option which will upload all the sound files to the selected project (so you can open it on another machine, for instance). Is that what you're talking about? Or just for the clip samples themselves?

What does this 'collect all and save' do, exactly?

I think it consolidates all of the sound files as well as the project files so that when you open it up on a new computer, it won't give you 4 million pop ups stating "sample A is missing" and so on.

Saves the audio files in the project folder.

It doesn't do what you want to do, which is to save all your ASD analysis files all at once for a whole set.

Yes its a pain. No, theres no solution.

Thanks anyway, folks. I guess we'll get this addition right about the time there's a streaming plug-in, eh?

About the same time we get an MP3 codec I'd say...
