It's true

One funny thing about the love parade ... just a few hours ago... my mom told me "Charles... see.. look how many youth they are just to see the Pope... they are around 500,000 and you... you go in your junky club till the morning..."
"Mom, the Love Parade attracts more people then the Pope..."
Gosh man in 2000 they were 1.3 million of ravers... that makes alot of money for berlin during this period...
lol...

and this is the article:16-07-2002 -NO LOVEPARADE 2003?- Fabian Lenz of Loveparade GmbH is rather pes simistic about Loveparade 2003. The costs of 1.5 milion euros are way to high and there are not enough sponsors. Because of the bad weather, the revenues of selling drinks and food were disappointing. We think it would be a good idea if the city of Berlin would sponsor the event. First of all because the ravers spend over 150 million euro is the city. Berlin is poor and could use they money. Secondly the parade has brought a lot of goodwill to a city that was divided by the Berlin Wall and destroyed during World War II. Pictures of smiling ravers went around the world and gave the city a good name. Third of all, Zürich has already put the Streetparade on the official event calender. Because of the good influence of the city counsel commercialization of the Streetparade was stopped, and Zürich likes the ravers coming to town. Berlin should love it's parade and help it bringing back the vibes of the last years.
