(Uplifting Trance) Kysora - Story

http://soundcloud.com/kysora/kysora-story-original-mix

Just something I did this past week, I think it turned out pretty good considering most of my songs take around 2 months to finish.

C&C appreciated as always

I can't begin to tell you how amazing this track sounds to me, incredible! There is so much drive to it, and the delivery is phenomenal.

If I were to change one thing, however, it would be the attack on the lead during the intro (comes in at about 1:20). It seems that the higher attack time kinda interrupts the flow of things, especially on those higher notes.

Love the strings... the build up is very powerful and emotional. Although I kind of feel the main melody as the other guy said after the build needs a bit of work. It seems boring after coming off that amazing build. I would suggest fiddling around with the melody a bit, and perhaps use a piano instead of the sample you are currently using. I think a nice piano would compliment the string melody you have. Very great track though, definitely would love to see any future work you do to this project.

Sorry I'm late.

First and foremost, I'm not the biggest fan of organic elements combined with uplifting trance, so don't expect any feedback from me in that department.

There are a lot of synths that I enjoy here, such as the arp thing at 0.45, and that filtered out synth around 0.59.

Although I'm not in times with current trance, I always hear very nice sounds in the uplifting scene. I just don't like its arrangement.

So, I'd say this would rank pretty high on an uplifting scale. I don't know what more to say.

Good job yet again, man.

I can hear the sonic and melodic and playing skill here.

It doesn't work as a club track though for me - the main take off lacks power and dance vbe as does the chorus that follows it.

The break is a decentambient piece but isn't dancey - for me.

Perhaps you don't want to be dancey though... so whatever

EDIT - I forget to say the percs are really good - much better than most uplifters I hear.

Yeah making dance tracks isn't really my thing. Whether or not you think that's an abomination to trance is up to you, I guess

Thanks guys <3

'Abomination' - no - I said it has great percs (truly good percs) and is clearly well made from a musical standpoint, just not dancey, but as you say that's not your bag.

I put that D&B bass up yesterday which you didn't think much of, but to me that bass sound alone and the way it vinrates downwards is something unique and would absolutely engage peoples senses in the right club setting.

It ain't all about musical scores for me - afterall a million folk out there know a ton about melodic composition things - including the kids in my sons music class and several hundred thousand classical orchestra players out there - but not one of them could make a bass like that which would enagge with clubbers at some deep mamalian level.

Anyway - pull my sh1t apart now - it's nowhere near as classy as your stuff for sure.

Ah, sorry, that wasn't really directed towards you or anyone else, I just know there have been debates here about whether or not trance is *supposed* to be dance music by definition and there are some people who would think me saying what I said is just inherently wrong. I know you don't think that.
